Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route in 8 days is possible, but it’s important to note that this route is known for its scenic beauty and gradual acclimatization, which contributes to a higher chance of successful summiting.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrival in Tanzania (usually in Kilimanjaro International Airport) and transfer to your the hotel in Moshi town. Spend the day resting, preparing, and attending a briefing with our experienced mountain guide.
At Londorossi Park Gate you’re entered into Kilimanjaro National Park’s records. You’re then driven for another hour to Lemosho Gate (2,100 m) and the trailhead. From here it’s a three-hour hike up to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,895 m), also known as Mti mkubwa Camp. This is your first night sleeping under the stars in tents!
Hike from Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp (around 3,505 meters or 11,500 feet). This day’s hike takes you through the heath and moorland zone, offering beautiful views.
Hike from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (around 3,840 meters or 12,600 feet). This is a relatively short hike, allowing you to continue acclimatizing.
Hike from Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp (around 3,950 meters or 12,960 feet). This day involves ascending to a higher altitude before descending to sleep, aiding in the acclimatization process.
Hike from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (around 4,035 meters or 13,200 feet). This is a shorter day, which helps with acclimatization.
Hike from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (around 4,640 meters or 15,220 feet). This is your final camp before the summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the upcoming summit night.
Start the summit attempt around midnight from Barafu Camp. Reach the summit of Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters or 19,341 feet). Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and then continue down to Mweka Camp (around 3,100 meters or 10,170 feet) for overnight.
Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate (around 1,640 meters or 5,380 feet). This is your final day on the mountain. You’ll receive your summit certificates and then transfer back to your hotel in Moshi.
Note: Keep in mind that the above itinerary assumes you’re acclimatized to higher altitudes and in good physical condition. Adequate acclimatization is crucial for a successful and safe climb. If you’re not accustomed to high altitudes or have concerns about acclimatization, consider extending the trek to allow for more time at higher elevations.
